Bailey in Yard so lovely

Hi Mommy!

Did you see the Rainbow I sent you tonight from Hyfryd? I knew daddy would show it to you cause I saw him standing outside right after the rain and I had felt you thinking about me yesterday and today since you are getting ready to go back to PA. I heard you ALREADY telling Joy that you cannot wait to see how big my Tree got at Buhl Park. I am NOT going to tell you so it will be a surprise. I cannot wait for you to visit our Red Maple!  I miss you so much lately. You know how much I loved riding in the car all the way from Florida to PA. I made the trip WAY more fun, didn’t I?  I never complained because it was so much fun to just relax, listen to music and eat treats for 1100 miles! Haha!! Now Joy gets to do that. I see you bought her a den so she will be more safe in the car. I think that was a good idea!

Not too much new to report. School is out now and I have to spend summer preparing for some new classes I want to create. One, I know you will like and I got the idea from our book, Letters to Each Other. I was thinking about calling it Love Communication 101. I will place an emphasis on how the doggies, kitties and all the animals here can learn to communicate better with their loved ones even though we do not share a physical world anymore. I will develop different techniques for them to learn; I still have to flesh it out. You know, some days it is so very hard, not just for me, but for a lot of my friends. Tarzan, Cheetah, Freedom and Lucky miss you so much. They heard you say the other day that you think about them all the time. I know you have their pictures everywhere, just like you have mine. I love that you are a picture taker. When you adopted me as a senior, I bet you took MY picture more than anyone ever took it in the 7 years I lived before we fell in love! I see you always taking Joy’s picture as well. That is good to create many memories. We need them. Being separated physically does NOT mean we forget anything!

Writing the book with you really made me MORE popular than I already was and you know how I could turn a head! Haha! You will be proud that everyone here has a copy of the book here and I do not know how you made that happen, but it’s wonderful just like you Mommy. You are the best Dog/Cat mom in the world! Give Safari boy and Joy a big kiss for me!

Well, I just wanted to make sure you saw the Rainbow I sent with all my thoughts and wishes of love. As you like to say “see you soon Bailey Girl…” In my heart and mind I see you each minute of every day.

Dearest Bailey, I was missing you so much yesterday. So often when I walk with Joy I think of you. There are so many quirky things that I find so similar about the tow of you – especially the love of food! However, when I walk with Joy I wish she could walk with you so you could have taught her not to fear so much.

I know, I know. This takes time. That is why we walk so much. Aside from it being good for our health, she really needs the training not to fear and you would have been THE BEST teacher. Just like with you, EVERYONE wants to pet her and talk to her and often she will look at strangers and just bark or growl at them. She is hyper protective over me; much like you were, but you never minded anyone really.

Today when we walked on the path in Bonita Bay, I had to hold her harness so she would not chase the bikers! Reminded me of you!!! She never barked at them at least! How you used to bark at bikers when you first came to live with us. She is still so much a puppy and I find that so cute about her – her energy is amazing. AMAZING!!!!!! I wish I could bottle it up and you know I have a LOT of energy but she puts me to shame.

I always think on our walks how you two would have loved each other. You truly led me to her, I know that as sure as I know my own name. You set the path and I followed and I thank you in my heart everyday for that, Bailey. I love you so much.

Well, that is what I wanted to say. Write me soon and let me know how the classes are coming along. I have not heard from you in way too long. We need to write more often. I never want “us” to fade.

Dearest Bailey,

The tree, the ornaments, the lights, the color red, most of all. Red was your color. The color of your Coach collar and leash. The holidays are all about red and I cannot help but see and feel your energy everywhere. Little Joy reminds me of you. I never knew you as a young pup, but I always think you would have been just like her. You Border Collies are so similar in your sweet dispositions and great energy – and Joy has amazing energy that I wish I could bottle and give to people everywhere. I love that about her. It’s so joyous and positive.

I need you to write me a letter very soon and tell me how you are doing. I need to know how everyone is in Hyfryd. Anwen, Tarzan, Cheetah, Barkley, Shauna, EVERYONE! I need a holiday report. Have you decorated the den yet? Is it sparkly? I hope so. Tell me everything.

I love you the most in the Universe my Sweet Bailey. Write me soon. I need it.

Dear Bailey,

Today is Buhl Day, one of my favorite activities of the year and it was certainly one of yours, of course. We will see how Joy does with all the many people who come out to hear the music, eat the food and simply enjoy a celebration of a park that is steeped in history. http://www.buhlfarmpark.com/bfp/buhl-legacy/   which includes the fact that Frank and Julia Buhl never had children, but instead make a lasting and loving commitment to their community by donating their farm estate to the town of Sharon, PA. It is because of them that I was able to spend so much time walking in the park with you and of course Joy, your spirit sister.

Buhl Day means a grilled hamburger for Joy and she will be so excited just like you were to gobble it up!. Many dogs will be there to enjoy this special day. This picture of you is right next to Lake Julia. I think I have 1000 pictures of you at Buhl Park. It’s such an amazing place and I feel lucky to be able to spend time there, exercising, walking and taking in its beauty. Like the Buhl’s, not all families are “traditional.” Your Papa and I might not have had non-pawed children, together, but he sure enjoys the furry ones we have devoted our lives to helping and taking care of. We of course will visit you tree as I do numerous times a week on our walks. It’s growing so big in just three years.  Yes, it’s almost 3 years since I have been able to stroke your big mane and play with your fluffy tail. I know you miss me too.  So far everyone who has read our book, Letters to Each Other, has loved it and we have had some great reviews – all five stars! http://tinyurl.com/mwkjn22.

I just wanted to tell you that I am thinking of you strongly today. I am wearing your Ruby earrings Papa gave me, which matches the necklace that stays on always. You are always with me and always will be, especially in Buhl Park. Even though today is “Buhl Day” I really think everyday is Buhl Day when I walk with you in my heart.

It will take a couple of weeks for it to appear on Kindle, but that’s okay they can buy a hard copy now. For all your pals in Hyfryd here is the link:https://www.createspace.com/4161035. Also, I created a beautiful website for it as well so that you can direct everyone to http://www.letterstoeachother.com. I know you and Barkley, Anwen, Tarzan, Cheetah, Freedom and everyone will be helping to promote our book. When is your first book signing? I told createspace to ship you some books! I took this picture of your tree yesterday at Buhl Park, the day the book was published. When I got there the wind came in very strong and this one very dark green leaf was actually waving as though you were saying hello. I loved that. Do you like the cover? I really do! They did a great job with the design don’t you think? I want to hear all of your thoughts because really, the book is all about you sweet girl. Of course we are working girls and I still have much work to do here to help promote the book. I decided to give $1 of each book sold to Indian Summers Border Collie Rescue, since that is where you sent me to find our Joy. Okay, before you start on me for being REALLY, REALLY late in writing back, I wanted to tell you that I saw you in Paris. I know you did not see a rainbow or anything like that, but I was with you everywhere and I was really there for a long time in Monet’s Garden!  Did you see how many pink and red flowers there were there? Did you see all those little bees flitting about? Yes, that was me and I guess that you already knew that!

I know I have been really bad about writing back. I do not know what is wrong with me. I am getting worried about it actually. I know we talk at our tree all the time with Joy, but  have just had the busiest summer and I have been lacking in my writing, and I do apologize! Forgive me – I know you do! ha-ha!

So the EXCITING news you are going to tell me is that the final, final, final copy of our book is on its way for your approval. PLEASE do not see anything wrong with it! I have been telling EVERYONE that it’s ALMOST HERE! I know you got the news today that it’s on the way. Gish I hope this one is perfect! I cannot wait until it is available! I could not be more excited about it and I know that you are too! In Hyfryd it is big news!

What else can I tell you? Paris was amazing for you and daddy right? It’s the place for lovers and DOGGIES! Did you know that Paris is the most dog FRIENDLY city in the world?  I LOVE that doggies can goo INTO RESTAURANTS!!! How GREAT of an IDEA is that?! Personally, I think that is how it should be everywhere and I am sure that you would agree as well.  Dogs and food just go together so perfectly!

I do not have that much news to report. The new Dog TownDen is so great and I love living with Tarzan, Cheetah and Freedom. They sure miss you and Tarzan has told me many stories about you! Seems like you have not changed at all and that is a good thing!

I know you both got in very, very late from the airport last night and that you are so tired, so I will let you go to sleep. Write me another letter and I promise to write back. I am starting to get my classes ready as they resume at the end of August.  I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and miss you terribly.

I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today. I was lying in Bob and Jamie’s pool on a raft, staring at the sky after working on two long press releases and I needed a break from the computer.

Often when I look up, I think of you and wonder what you are doing and if you are looking at me. At that very moment a big bird appeared out of no where and was swooping the mostly cloudy sky. It was a dark bird, so he or she contrasted well against the clouds. As soon as I whispered, “Bailey is that you?” The bird swooped more down and then up again toward the big cloud that blocked the sun. It sailed on the air as I watched it and then it went through the cloud and I could no longer see it.

I always take those as signs of you, those little pieces of nature that just tends to happen randomly, I love those quiet moments because they are rare for me and so needed. When I do have those quiet moments, I am glad that my thoughts turn to you my sweet girl. I miss you so much; you can never know how much. Joy continues to be a joy and that is all because you took the time to find me the perfect girl. Papa said today, “Joy is so much like you!” I told him that he always said the same thing about you and me! Although I have always seen myself as more of a cat, the only dog I could ever be is a Border Collie because of their wonderful work ethic which is so important to me.

I just wanted to say if that was you, thanks for “appearing,” in whatever shape or form you can accommodate. You are so near and dear to me, I truly feel your presence everyday, I really do and I hope you feel the same.

By the way, I am awaiting the arrival of the first printed book before it really goes to press. I have to read it cover to cover once again to make sure it is perfect! I am so excited and I know you are as well.

Greetings From Hyfryd…

It seems i owe you two letters, don’t I? Well, for now this will suffice. I see how hard you have been on our book. I did not realize there were SO MANY steps to getting it completed. I will be so excited when I see the first hard copy in your hand.

I heard you talking to the people on the phone today. So you have to still write the acknowledgements! That might be harder than the back of the book. You still have stuff to do! I appreciate your dedication to this project and I hope that I have been very helpful – yeah, I know I am.

So let me tell you what is going on here. First off, Molly is doing well; I knew you would want to know that and tell all the Zaboroski’s that she is fine and Barkley is SO happy to have welcomed her into her home, which you know is right next door to my den. Did I tell you I have been doing some remodeling?  You will really like this bit of news: Since coming here, you know I am kind of the queen diva, (ha!) so everyone likes to hang out at my den. Well, your other favorite people, Tarzan, Cheetah, Freedom and Lucky are over here so much and as I told you they don’t live too far, but I decided that I would build a “Cat-dition.” What is that you ask? It’s an addition onto the den for all of them so we can all live together. You know I love cats and we see so much of each other, it just made sense.

I have them all working in the school to help with the cat clients who take the classes, like Loving 101. The addition is going to be very large and I am having all sorts of special climbing things added to walls – it will so cool! There will be a common door so we can just get into each other’s spaces easily. They are all so excited. We all talked about it and I know they were as special to you as I was and thankfully they were in your life for many, many years. We thought you would like the fact that we all love each other and wanted to be close. I hope this makes you very happy and I cannot wait to hear what you think of my little surprise!

So that is my bit of news and I hope that it makes you smile – I already know that it does! Write me soon and get busy on those little extras you need to do for the book! I cannot wait to see the designs they come up with so make sure you forward them to me! I love you so much and Tarzie, Cheetie, Freedom and Lucky all send their love too….. I see how hard you have been working! Thank you for your diligence I am glad that you chose this picture for the cover of our book! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! I am the talk of the town of course. We just finished our Spring break and classes have now resumed. I posted information about Letters to Each Other in every school in EVERY surrounding town. I hope that we get great distribution and lots of people read our story because it certainly is one full of happiness and love.

Still, I cannot imagine how you chose the cover picture because you took more pictures of me in three years that most people take in 20! I am glad that you are featuring many pictures in the book as well. I cannot wait to get copies and I am sure you cannot either.

Not to change the subject, but did you know that Molly came over the Bridge? You must know by now. She looked for Barkley and I immediately, so you can tell John, Tracy, Brad and Ashley that Molly is here with us. In fact, we moved her in with Barkley. They are so happy being roommates again and you might remember I live next door! I know that you wanted to say goodbye to Molly and you did not get the chance, but she knows how much you loved her and she is so happy now because she has full use of her legs and she can romp and play like she was a pup! You should see her! I tell you one thing, that Molly is a great eater! She is scarfing down all the great food here! Nothing wrong with her appetite! That is the amazing thing about our world, mommy – the trade-off. It’s all about that. When you first arrive, you feel like you have to give up so much because you are separated temporarily  from the ones you love more than anything. And while it is temporary, you never know how long it will be until you see them again, or if they will even chose to come where we are. What we get in return is health.

You always said health was the number one most important thing in life. It is better than any present in the world. People forget that or they would take better care of themselves over there on earth! Oddly, that really IS the gift. We all can run and play and chase the wind without any pain or strife. That is the BEST! yes, it is hard to live with out our people, but we make friends and our friends fill our life here in Hyfryd and for those who want to do some good, like me, there is opportunity.

I am just so happy about our book and I appreciate you working so hard on it. I love you so much and I know you love me too. I miss you much, but am happy Joy has turned out to give you just that. I made sure of that! Isn’t it interesting that finding Joy gave you a chance to promote something you love just for the heck of it? Dr. Vic and you needed each other. I knew that. Just know I knew everything from the moment I kissed you at Angels for Animals. We were going to be a team and you knew it too. From July 20, 2008 till forever, it’s you and me….

Okay, Okay, I know. My apologies this time for being so delayed in my letter, but I have been working hard to get the book all together! I am so excited for you to see it. Getting all the pictures in one place was a lot of work too! Who could have a book about you without pictures? You are so photogenic and beautiful! I love this picture of you running on the beach. Not sure Joy can go there with all the other dogs and people might be too much for her. Not you! You loved all the people and doggies – well most of them.

How are your classes? I expect that you will be entering Spring break this week or next? Are you going to get to relax? I need this trip to restore so I can complete the work needed for the book because our team is waiting! I was planning on getting a lot of work done today as well. It’s so exciting, but then I think once it is done, it will be over and that sort of makes me sad, as I have enjoyed the process, but I have to say that reading everything over and over again made me cry more than once.

Then, I ran into Evan the other day at Starbucks and I asked how his Bailey was and he told me that she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge two weeks ago, so you need to look for that little Sheltie. She was 14, so she led a great life, but he is very sad, just like I was. I told him about our blog and the book coming out and hopefully it will help him.

I hope that you are well my lovely girl. Soon, we will be going back North and I will see how much our tree has grown. I do not expect it to have grown too much as winter has been very cold there. When I am at sea, I will think of you. Send me your signs – you know which ones I mean and if you get the chance to write me back today, please do I miss you!!! Give me love to Barkley, Onwen, Tarzan, Cheetah, Freedom and Lucky for me. You are my great leader of all things good.
